FLAG FOOTBALL – Kindergarten thru 8th Grades

This registration is for rising KINDERGARTEN thru EIGHTH Graders to play FLAG FOOTBALL for the 2017 Fall Season:

FEES: There is “Early Bird” registration of only $150 in effect until April 21. Beginning April 22, registration fees will be $200. There will be a late fee assessed after May 31 of $25. The registration fee includes $50 worth of fundraising raffle tickets. Fundraising is collected now but once you sell your raffle tickets you keep the $50 proceeds. If you sell all your raffle tickets the “Early Bird” registration fee only ends up costing $100. The registration fee includes league fees, practice space, operating expenses, flags and jersey.

REFUNDS: Since many items used during the season are ordered early we can issue an 80% refund if you must cancel your registration through May 31. No refunds after May 31.

PAYMENTS: The online system accepts credit & debit cards. PLEASE NOTE:  You must make at least a partial payment now or the system will automatically cancel your registration within 48 hours. If you can’t make a payment now and need to make arrangements, it must be done within the 48-hour period by calling the JCYFA Secretary (Jan Mercer at 770-993-9452 or 678-318-1802).

TEAMS: We will attempt, but cannot guarantee, to place our flag football players with their friends and neighbors. Please let us know by making a special request in the section provided during the online registration process. We will attempt to place you on the team selected however due to the high number of participants, team placement is not guaranteed.

DRAFTS: Flag Football does not typically draft but we must balance teams to ensure teams they are fair and competitive.

UNIFORMS: Player’s uniforms are usually distributed during the first week of practice.

SUMMER CAMPS: There are several football camps during the summer at local high schools. These camps are optional and cost is not included in registration fee; camp costs are aprox $75 to $125.

PRACTICE: Practice starts late July, each coach sets his own practice dates/times. We typically practice two days per week before school starts and then once per week after school starts. Practices are held at local schools.

SCHEDULES: Season schedules are prepared by the League (not JCYFA) and posted in late-July. Please keep your Saturday’s flexible.

GAMES: Regular season games start late August and continue every Saturday through late October. Games are typically held at local high schools and last aprox one hour.

PLAYOFFS: All teams makes playoffs and follow single elimination format. Playoffs start in late October and the Championship Game is usually held mid-November.
